Why Do I Want To Blog?

Hi! My name is Erica.  My passions in life are my family, my Boston Terrier Roxy,  crochet, knitting, and playing guitar.  I have been crocheting for the past 10+ years and recently picked up knitting.  Maybe passion isn’t the proper word, obsession or addiction might be more appropriate!  I can literally spend days looking up new patterns, researching designs, and often find myself working on something new everyday.  I want to share what I know, what inspires me, and tips that I have found very useful.  

When I’m not knitting or crocheting, I’m homeschooling my oldest son (and soon will hopefully home school both next year).  Homeschooling has been such an amazing experience, with all the scary stuff that happens in schools any more I find myself being so thankful sometimes that my children can be safe at home.  However, homeschooling takes a tremendous amount of dedication and discipline and hopefully my experience can be of assistance to other mothers who are or who wish to start homeschooling their children.  

I'm starting this blog for a few reasons.  Since I've graduated college in 2011 I have become a stay at home mom and teacher to my son.  Over the past couple years of doing that, I realized I was spending more and more of my free time working on new projects and researching new crafts I would like to work on.  Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love being home with my kids, teaching them, and working on patterns... If only I could make it into a job then I would have the best job in the world.  So here I am, I'm basically documenting what I would have been doing anyway, helping others along the way and hopefully it can give me a sense of personal accomplishment! 

Other than that... I love DIY projects, crafts, natural health and beauty, and sewing.  I’m a pretty creative person and I hope you enjoy my blog!
